Maintaining your security is important, especially when you’re a part of a business. Often times in businesses that are larger, employees are given ID cards that detail who they are and what they have access to. Not only does this ensure that employees are safe in the workplace, but it also allows the business to create different levels of access.
Many companies employ ID cards with special, visual security marks. Whenever someone wants to enter your place of
business they have to swipe their ID badge under a black light to reveal special UV printing. Or, security staff may also check for a hologram imprint on the back of their badge that’s only visible when tilted a certain way.
One of the most popular security features these days this text print is so small and inconspicuously that it needs to be examined by a computer to be properly read. Micro text is so hard to copy that they require special ID card printers, making it almost impossible to forge.
This holographic laminate is placed over ID badges and is printed with special symbols or words embedded directly into it, leaving a barely noticeable pattern over the entire card. Holographic printers are difficult to acquire, so the likelihood of someone creating their own laminate is next to nothing.
The next time you take out your own ID card, take a look at it more closely than you normally would. Do you notice small printing in odd spots on the card? How about a holographic overlay that has a special symbol? These are visual security markers that protect you and your identity.
